Job Description : CFO QATAR a Manufacturing business in Qatar. This position reports to the CEO in Qatar with a dotted line back to the Group CFO in Dubai. Responsibilities · Provide leadership in planning, implementing and managing financial strategies to achieve the organisation’s objectives and goals. · Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance, accounting, credit control and IT functions of the organisation. · Manage processes for financial forecasts, budgets and consolidation and reporting to Group. · Provide appraisal and recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities, including feasibility studies, investments, disposals and business improvement projects. · Ensure integrity of financial data through effective internal controls and periodic audits and oversee maintenance of proper books of accounts and timely and accurate reporting of financial results in compliance with IFRS and other legal and statutory rules for financial and tax reporting. · Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive management, so as to identify their needs and provide business solutions and advice on the financial implications of business activities. · Manage and continually improve performance of MIS and Costing, Accounting, Credit Control and IT departments through leadership, motivation and performance management. · Manage working capital, gross margins and overheads of the company in an effective manner to achieve the company’s financial objectives. · Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures that are in line with international accounting standards and synchronised with business demands, ensuring adherence by all team members. · Highlight performing and non-performing assets and processes through analysis and interpretation of financial data. · Provide recommendations for capitalising on opportunities and resolving situations that could be detrimental to the company’s growth. · Optimise banking relationships and initiate appropriate funding strategies. · Working with the General Manager to identify and review opportunities. · Work closesly with internal and external legal experts to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements and to ensure that legal risks are identified and mitigated. · Approves and controls budgets through effective monitoring and control mechanisms in line with approved delegation of the authority matrix. · Oversees maintenance of proper books of accounts and timely and accurate reporting of financial results. · Responsible for the HR function ensuring effective people strategies are in place to attract, develop and retain talent. · Fosters a work culture that is built on the foundations of our organisational core values. Requirements · Chartered accountant with 20+ years PQE · Arabic speakers strongly preferred · Only candidates currently in GCC will be considered · Manufacturing experience essential within a medium sized business · Highly commercially aware · Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate and well presented · Strong team leadership, a strong team mentor · Able to influence top stakeholders (the Board)
