Chief Technology Officer
15 yearsJob Description : Chief Technology Officer -digital broadcasting NIGERIA • This role requires someone with a Bachelor degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering with CCNA certification. Required work experience: • At least 15 years experience in Digital Broadcast, H.264/265 & HEVC Digital Head ends and end to end Video over IP solutions for Digital headend and high speed links. • Minimum of 5 years experience in a techno commercial management role, leading a team of at least 10 to 15 high tech hardware & software engineers • Minimum of 5years experience in networking, being able to deal with end to end multilayer IP communication, VPN requirements and configuration and subnet systems. • Ability to deal with Cisco routers and switches and the Ability to configure servers • At least 2-3 years’ experience in cloud networking and storage such as Google or AWS system • Atleast 2-3 years’ experience evaluating and testing of software’s such as Middle ware • One year experience in Video over IP and Voice over IP environment • Ability to understand commercial sensitivities and implementing market requirements in the most economical manner, creating cost effective solutions Additional Specific role requirements: STB/CAS/Video on Demand: • Acquiring content from studios in the required file formats and loading them on the VoD server. • Setting up the process of assigning Content ID's and entering into the CMS • Setting up the process of pre-loading movies onto Dongles and ensuring that the sourced dongles are compatible and secure. • Experience with managing a VoD platform • Experience of maintaining and administration of Conditional Access System • Experience with STB testing, debugging and analysing any DVB Stream errors Integration & Testing of new software functionalities: • Working with technical teams to continuously update software functionality • Working with technical teams to continuously improve UI design and user experience • Supporting in the integration of payment gateways, SMS & IVR Communication Working with the subscriber management system and call centres: • Working with subscriber management and billing systems to finalise customer journey flows and improve them on an on-going basis • Reviewing payment processes/flows and how they work with the subscriber management system • Supporting with troubleshooting and problem solving • Training support to call centres on being able to handle trouble shooting more independently • Training support to STB distributors and sales channels on being able to handle customerand first line shooting independently Generally a Techno-commercial Engineer with the ability to address business requirement effectively developing cost effective solutions with HQ. Ability to work under pressure.Meeting critical targets in timely manner managing a team effectively.An effective communicator with a proven problem solving skills. A min of 15years of experience
