Job Description : HEAD FREIGHT DORWARDING SAND LCL DELHI INDIA 15-20 years experience Focus on the following core tasks Managing and retaining relationships with own as well as new clients and increasing LCL business as well as direct shipper client base in freight forwarding Developing growth strategies and plans for LCL & freight forwarding Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition Writing business proposals Ensuring the correct pricing is available to profitably grow the business Supporting sales during sales calls and creating customer specific value propositions Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs Researching business opportunities and viable income streams Following industry trends locally and internationally Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements Desired Candidate Profile A successful track record in LCL Business development & freight forwarding business development including a minimum of 3 years in a management position & more than 10 years in sales/business development for LCL / freight forwarding. Having handled a LCL & freight forwarding sales team of minimum 8 sales person. A background in business development and knowledge around Delhi / Chennai LCL & freight forwarding market is essential Strong business acumen and communication skills Ability to take responsibility for a division right up to P+L Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills Passion for sales and bringing new business on board Strong analytical skills ability to review and adapt processes where required with a view to improving costs and efficiency. Part of this position will be to provide our senior management team with relevant, quantified and clear information on market activity.
