Job Description : UPSTREAM COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR UAE FOR GAS Duties and Responsibilities · Developing company’s upstream asset acquisition process; · Planning, organizing, managing and continually improving the business development and the proposal process; · Identifying upstream assets opportunities; · Acting as the company’s commercial focal point and to communicate effectively plans and activities with shareholder(s); · Preparing updated reports, forecast and follow-up on proposals; · Leading, directing, developing and aligning the necessary resources to implement the company's business plan; · Performing commercial duties to close deals and to materialize planned revenue; · Developing and maintaining good working relationships with government agencies and potential stakeholders; · Participating in early development of any long-term business acquisition strategy; · Assisting with the design of the best negotiating strategies by considering the risks and rewards, and keeping in mind the counter-parties preferences & goals; · Providing supervision and/or technical expertise to the proposal team/consultants; · Prioritizing the allocation of resources to ensure the proposal team/consultants will accomplish the business objectives; and · Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. · Team Leader on specific projects Minimum Qualifications · MSc, Technology, Engineering, Economics, Finance or Mathematics from a recognized university. · Strong expertise in Upstream Natural Gas and LNG projects · Minimum of 10 years work experience in upstream industry, with a strong industry links Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills. · Effective team player. · Able to perform swift analysis of market data and identify commercial opportunities. · Proficient and fluent in English (Arabic or Mandarin or Spanish would be beneficial) Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities · Drive for results – high energy focused on leveraging value from opportunities. · Sound judgement and business acumen – Adept at identifying and exploiting business opportunities in a complex and dynamic environment. Has a high level of numeracy. Always behaves in an ethical, trustworthy manner and flawlessly delivers appropriate internal controls. · Communication skills – Delivers clear and concise messages. Uses effective questioning and listening skills. Effectively engages with team and broader organization. Persuades and influences to gain alignment. · Negotiation – has highly developed negotiation skills · Relationship Development – builds effective relationships and collaborates well. Multicultural awareness is essential.
