General Manager
15 yearsJob Description : GM NIGERIA FOR PACKAGING OPERATIONS 15+ years experience The management portfolio held by this leader is notably diverse, with corresponding broad organizational implications and complexity, characterized by substantial scope of responsibility in this respect. This role has tremendous scope within the organization and could be a successor to the CEO. The direct reportees will include production and maintenance professionals and their teams and the peer level will be in finance & sales. KRA's : · Reporting to the CEO of the Unit, the Incumbent will be responsible for the smooth Operations of the manufacturing Unit which is into packaging products. · The incumbent will lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met within the agreed time frame. · Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. · Manage the team on best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading teams. · Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes. Ideal candidate will be : · An experienced Factory Manager, should lead, and provide leadership and to a 300+ member strong organization with the direct accountability of growth and managing the day-to-day operations. · Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred, · Extensive plant level experience with significant proven supervisory experience · Technical understanding · Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, · Experience of managing Profit & Loss responsibilities for manufacturing · Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain · Excellent leadership and man- management skills · Excellent interpersonal skills · Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members · Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills · Excellent organizational and follow-up skills · Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making · Commercial and Financial acumen
