Senior Sales Manager 
10 yearsJob Description : SENIOR SALES NMANAGER NIGERIA This is for TRANSMED FMCG To lead the sales team, engage directly with the top customers; and enhance different channels’ sales capability in order to maximize the sales, distribution & visibility of the company’s portfolio. Accountabilities. A. Team Management Organizes and staffs the sales team with adequate resources and talent in order to achieve the desired levels of Organizational Excellence. Provides the sales team with adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage. B. Sales Strategy & Go-to-Market Approach Deploys the necessary Sales OGSM (Objectives - Goals - Strategies and Measures) and Action Plan for all channels in alignment with overall company vision / strategy in order to drive the sales team through specific guidelines. Puts in place the right processes and tools that will ensure flawless and superior execution of Sales Business Plans with Modern Trade customers across the geography. C. Management of Customers Manages relationships with all customers and the market as a whole in order to ensure productive working relationships and long term strategic partnerships. Leads the negotiations of yearly contracts with all customers in order to secure the desired deployment levels of sales business plans. Develops and manages the necessary trade programs in order to maximize sales volume and build brand’s market share. D. Trade Funds Management Sets the strategy for trade funds deployment in order to maximize the return from these funds. Manages the spending of trade funds efficiently within agreed guidelines in order to maximize the return from these funds and prevent misuse. E. Management of Resources Optimizes the usage and deployment of people and vehicles in order to meet desired trade coverage targets. Ensures proper deployment of the sales systems, processes and tools that will enable the sales team to operate efficiently and profitably as well as sustain competitive advantage F. Dealings with Principals / Brand Managers Works proactively with the Suppliers and Brand Management teams on developing aggressive sales business plans in order to achieve the desired sales results. G. Receivables Oversees the process of collection of trade receivables in order to achieve targeted credit terms policy. Qualifications ROLE REQUIREMENTS. Academic Education & Professional Certifications Minimum of BA/BSc in any relevant discipline. MBA is an added advantage. Operational & Managerial Experience. Over ten (10) years of Sales Experience in a reputable FMCG Company or Distributor of an FMCG company Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role National outreach – work experience in the North, South East and South West of Nigeria Ability to Manage Team Spread across the Country. Understanding of Nigeria retail environment Personal Attributes Can work calmly under pressure and willing to travel extensively. Willingness to learn; and challenge the status quo. Ambitious, with a positive mind-set. Passion for “Best in Class Execution”. High level of integrity and ensures team’s compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. Can leverage and inspire his team to deliver outstanding results on a consistent basis.
