15 yearsJob Description : PROCUREMENT MANAGER AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND Forming and managing the relationship with key suppliers and key stakeholders in the business to develop a plan focused on procurement deliverables aligned to the company's strategic plan • Develop and maintain strategic procurement processes, managing the process of supplier selection, including negotiation, recommendation and implementation • Manage and maintain supplier relationships identifying new sourcing opportunities whilst also managing and monitoring company spending with a continuous focus on cost efficiency • Build and maintain cross functional relationships with project managers and operations across multiple sites. • Examining, tracking, reporting and monitoring performance requirements, delivery schedules and estimates of costs to ensure completeness and accuracy •1 5+ years in a strategic Procurement role, ideally within manufacturing and/or mechanics, logistics, automation, electrical componentry and IT - in both direct and indirect categories • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing techniques to drive best practise procurement • Experience in end-to-end procurement strategies including shipping and logistics • The ability to form strong relationships internally and externally • Tenacity and adaptability to deal with difficult and challenging situations
