Business Development Manager
10 yearsJob Description : BDM DUBAI FOR CEVA LOGISTICS 10-15 years experience Primarily involved in direct contact with customers/clients to acquire new business or develop existing business to ensure sales targets are met. Responsible to maintain an existing customer database through regular sales visits. Identify new business opportunities through developing existing and new business account. Maintain an active new business prospect listing to approach and present CEVA. Undertake new business sales calls to win new business WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? ? Gains new and additional business to achieve set monthly and annual net revenue target. ? Ensures regular and constant business sales calls and visits in accordance with set activity KPI’s, plans and reports them to the National Sales Manager. ? Pursue sales leads and ensures that all sales leads are actioned and responded to in a timely manner. ? Focuses on re-securing of any lost business, and stabilizes any threatened business. ? Arranges functions and entertainment for potential and existing clients, preparing itineraries for overseas visitors. ? Ensures that proposals are prepared and presented in a professional manner. ? Ensure that monthly reporting is finalized by month end for branch report to Head Office and updates C-View. ? Monitors competitor activity and refers accordingly. ? Assesses customer needs and suggests appropriate products and services; reports on operational and overseas network service problems. ? Manage an existing database of customers and undertake regular sales calls to each customer and ensure that the customers remain satisfied with the products and services of CEVA. ? Undertake cross selling and upselling within existing customer base to further develop account potential through airfreight, sea freight, road freight, value added products and contract logistics. ? Manage and coordinate all commercial activities of defined vertical group of customers with his/her customer service team, in line with the company’s short and long term results & targets. ? Represent the company and its policies to the clients which are defined as “Strategic Accounts”. Define & follow up KPIs for the Strategic Accounts. ? Develop SOP’s for Strategic Accounts in association with Customer Service Manager to detail all processes, rate structure, capturing of customer identified KPI’s. ? Undertake sales presentations to customers and business communities to present CEVA and its products and services. ? Develop new business for CEVA through approaching new business customers, as defined in local sales KPI’s. ? Develop a new business prospect listing to ensure that future new business development is planned in advance. ? Generate and distribute specific reports as required in alignment with the position. ? Ensure that customer specific KPI reports are presented to customers in personal reviews ? Maintain close working relationships with the Customer Service, Operations and Contract Logistics team. ? Focus on winning and keeping profitable business. ? Work with the pricing team to ensure new business / RFQ wins. ? Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. ? Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? ? University Degree (Business Administration or Marketing as an advantage) or equivalent. ? Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales dealing with MNC accounts within Logistics and shipping/ Supply Chain industry across GCC ? Previous experience in Operation team.
