Production Manager

Job Description : FOOD PRODUCTION MANAGER KUWAIT The Production Manager will report to the Operations Director and directly manage a team of 5-10 people. He/she will plan, organize and control the production in the factory to ensure that goods are produced efficiently and to the highest global quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Make sure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, are cost-effective and deliver products on time · Prepare orders, meet quality standards and estimate accurate timescales and costs · Monitor production schedules and adjust efficiently them if problems occur · Manage supervisors, organize staff and make sure targets are met · Maximize the effectiveness of production team, equipment and materials to produce multi-line products within planned schedules while reducing costs · Analyze the Plants functions to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, downsized or eliminated · Determine and implement improvements to the production process · Prepare and maintain production reports · Ensure effective and efficient implementation of Quality Management Systems at the Plant · Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement · Estimate production costs and liaise with the sales team to ensure all orders are realistic · Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, operation and warehouse · Ensure health and safety regulations are met and final products meet the relevant quality standards · Manage any additional project-based assignments KEY INGREDIENTS · Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field · 10+ years of experience in processing/operations of the food industry · 5 years of experience in a managerial position with the food snacks sector (Salty Snacks – Potato Chips, Extrusion, Pellets, Tortilla) is a must · Proven work experience as a Production Manager within the Food Production Industry · Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise · Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes · Excellent leadership, people management and decision-making skills · Excellent problem-solving skills and planning skills
