National Finance Controller

Job Description : National Finance Controller | United Arab Emirates | req72636 We are looking for a National Finance Controller to join our office in Dubai. YOUR ROLE The National Finance Controller manages the business performance by acting as a business partner to the assigned Business Unit / Functional Unit, challenging the status quo and analysing the past to shape the future. The Controller supports business strategy development, develops and maintains risk management concepts, monitors tactical execution, disseminates financial knowledge and provides visibility using all available data to enable effective business decisions. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES · Perform and lead business reviews including follow up and corrective actions · Monitor business performance and continuously identify proactive measures to increase profitability and productivity and to mitigate potential exposure to the results · Develop and propose proactively restructuring concepts, cost saving initiatives or similar improvement plans · Drive Business Investment Applications (BIA) process and challenge status quo · Make use of existing networks and resources as much as possible when implementing solutions to identified risk areas. · Establish regular reporting in line with BU / FU Corporate targets and agreed KPI measures using corporate financial data warehouses and tools · Continuously seek for standardization and automation · Provide financial guidance and governance in line with company's accounting principles YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES · Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics · At least 5 years of professional experience in a Finance Controller role and 15+ in finance · Knowledge of the logistics industry is an additional benefit · Fluency in verbal and written English · Excellent communication and organizational skills · Highly analytical mindset, entrepreneurial thinking · Strong problem-solving skills · Willingness to travel
