Head Accountant

Job Description : HEAD ACCOUNTANT KENYA a leading manufacturer of steel rebars based at East Africa. Key Responsibilities: Account payable booking in timely manner. Outgoing payment booking in timely manner. Timely booking of incoming sales proceeds. Oversee the accounting part of sales and delivery processes. Ability to understand basics of taxes including VAT, income tax, employees’ tax etc. Timely preparation of cash position report for management. Reconciliation of banks, vendors and customers GLs. Understanding of capital and revenue expenditure and their treatment in books of account. Understanding the concept of JV and its booking in time bound manner. Understanding of cost accounting concepts and applications of those concepts in day to day operations. Relevant IT proficiencies like MS office, ERP preferably SAP. Ability to prepare adhoc reports for management. Qualification: M. Com Experience: 8-10 years into manufacturing companies. Steel Industry experience will be an added advantage.
