Job Description : CFO MALAYISA An exciting and challenging CFO (Based in Sarawak) job has just become available at one of the retailers in Kuching, Sarawak. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be a member of the Executive Committee (Exco). About the CFO (Based in Sarawak) Role: The CFO is responsible for the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Key Responsibilities: · Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports through the execution of established financial and accounting policies and effective management of accounting system, compliance to local statutory requirements as well as shareholder requirements · Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing policies and procedures · Monitor and ensure collection of cash, receivables and manage the risk · Ensure the group fully leverages the available credit lines and negotiate with banks when needed for current and new credit lines · Lead in the development of Budget and Strategic Plans to ensure that the financial implications of such plans are fully evaluated, justified and understood by the Exco · Ensure the Finance department’s ability to fulfil its responsibilities through proper organisation, staffing, development and motivation of department employees To succeed in the CFO (Based in Sarawak) job, you will need to have the experience in strategic planning and execution with an executive team. Key Requirements: · In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles · Knowledge of financial and accounting regulations and statutory requirements · Demonstrated ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections · Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills in English · Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to motivate and manage subordinates and team members
