15 yearsJob Description : FINANCE MANAGER ETHIOPIA FOR STEEL JOB CLOSES 31/05/2021 The incumbent will be the custodian and key strategic source for financial management and financial decision-making in the business. He/she will provide financial advice and support to enable sound business decisions. This includes ensuring that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations as well as group guidelines. 1.Overall responsible of managing the Finance Team 2.Monthly Management reporting with detailed analysis along with comparison with prior Rolling Estimate, Annual Business Plan and Previous Year. 3.Prepare and participate in quarterly review meetings of the Group 4.Prepare Board Meeting documents and the circulation of the same to all the board members one week prior to the meeting; Participate meaningfully in the Board meeting. 5.Deadline management of all applicable MIS is sacrosanct, ensure you have accurate input data capturing mechanism, verification of data and generation of timely and accurate MIS for all stakeholder 6.Plan, liaise and co-ordinate with the Banks to ensure adequate foreign exchange approvals for Company’s raw material, dividend repatriation and other foreign payments. 7.Manage the company’s operations working capital and capital expenditure. 8.Ensure adequate and planned working capital funding and project funding, as required by the business and approved 9.Ensure compliance of all applicable statutory and legal requirements w.r.t Accounting and taxation; Co-ordinate and ensure smooth Tax audit without any adverse impact on the Company 10.Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, this includes planning and managing internal/statutory/ external audits. 11.Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status. 12.Liaise with and provide support to HOD’s regarding departmental budgets, expenditures and financial reporting, this includes monitoring the budget implementation and advice on the reallocation of funds when/where necessary. 13.Ensure that all company assets records are well maintained in accordance with the accounting standards. 14.Monitor depreciation of company assets to ensure that the provisions are made in accordance with the accounting standards and Group guidelines. 15.Update and implement all necessary finance policies and accounting practices from time to time in consultation with other senior finance officers. 16.Review, assess and advise to the senior management of any financial risks in contractual obligations, the Company may be entering into. 17.Direct insurance negotiations and ensure that internal processes are adhered to ensure our claims are honoured should there be any in the year. 18.Set up and continuously evaluate internal control systems in line with changing demands, and ensure they are appropriately designed to serve the best interest of company/ group. 19.Work closely and transparently with all external partners including third-party vendors and consultants. 20.Manage the Team, by formalising Job Descriptions, Setting Targets , conduction ongoing reviews and provide feedback on performance, do on the job training, coaching, nominate for external trainings and ensure their engagement level is at adequate level. 21.To remain skilled and competent on all relevant, job related aspects, current and future including ERP, Data Analytics, etc 22.Be an active and contributing member of the Management Team and participate in Cross functional projects at ESPLC level and also at the Group Level. I.Qualifications required: Chartered Accountant/ CPA/ ACCA or equivalent II.Experience required: a.General work experience (years): 15 years b.Post Qualification experience (years): 12-15 Years III.Industry: Manufacturing IV.Key competencies and skills: a.The candidate should have hands-on experience in the following: b.Books of accounts c.Reconciliations d.Critical evaluation and monitoring of the relevant accounting standards, regulation and reporting frameworks. e.Preparation of financial statements and related reports f.Tax Laws g.Knowledge and interpretation of Insurance h.Budget, Budgetary Control and Forecasting i.Product Cost, cost allocation & Variance Analysis j.Business Performance Reporting including Board Packs k.Cash flow Planning & Forecasting l.Banking m.Trade Finance n.Forex Management o.Effective decision making through analyzing, evaluating and communicating performance and position of Entities-Including ratio analysis and understanding thereof p.Directs organizational performance through the selection and measurement of financial and non-financial performance indicators V.Language requirements: English, Amharic (Desirable) VI.Computer literacy: MS Office packages, SAP/ERP Accounting Systems, outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets
