Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : CFO GAUTENG SOUTH AFRICA FOR FMCD The position requires you to play a proactive role in partnering with the CEO in the development and adaption of the company's strategy in order to facilitate business decisions and optimize allocation of funding and resources to achieve measurable strategic objectives. You will oversee the overall Finance function including financial planning and analysis, management and Board reporting, system development and enhancement as well as compliance and corporate governance, and provide useful, relevant and timely financial information with the support of a well-qualified Finance Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the Company CEO, with reporting to the Board as well as Group CEO and CFO, offering exposure to all aspects of the business. Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be a self-starter, capable of working well under pressure and improvising. A hard-working individual, happy to roll up your sleeves you will lead by example and get involved with the business. At least 10 years post qualification experience with direct exposure to credit and microfinance industries. Any exposure to the long-term engineering industry will be an added advantage. Experience in emerging markets (outside SA) advantageous Significant experience and be up to date with the latest developments in all aspects of financial reporting and management, including financial disciplines, systems, controls, compliance, governance, reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, technical accounting issues, treasury, funding, taxation, foreign exchange, IT and audit management. Strong leadership and organisational skills Strategic and business growth focused Be proactive and promote a culture of constant improvement and innovation.
