Deputy General Manager

Job Description : DGM INDIA Deputy General Manager - Milk\Dairy Procurement based out at Mumbai for a leading Beverage company of India. Purchase Manager will take charge of Milk Procurement across pan – India production operations. Mandatory - Dairy Procurement Experience ? Responsibilities: · Work out procurement plan based on the sales forecast & BOM · Review of purchase status on a weekly basis from all the plants as well as company owned co-packers and alert on any surprises or variations · Exploring various possibilities on saving potential, to move in market place to find the landed prices, especially for ingredients mentioned above. · Consolidating tender prices on regular basis and have tap on tender release dates · Prepare the purchase order, inform accounts for execution of RTGS and other formalities. · Negotiation for discounts on material & monitoring the market to set the primary & secondary rates · Ensuring the integrity of the Material Manual and updating changes if any · Quarterly review of the rates across the country for any variations · Working out the basis of cost and getting into value engineering for having a better hold on negotiations · Meeting vendors and developing new and better vendors while retaining the vendors that have already been developed · Final negotiations with all the vendors to work out the best possible rates. · Streamlining SAP and ensuring its smooth functioning · Ensuring minimum variance of Material, Chemicals & Consumables at all the locations · Centralized negotiation of rates for purchase of materials, scrap rates etc. Skills & Expertise: · The ability to develop and network with optimum associations. · Proven success driving results and delivering return on investment to the company. · Comprehensive functional skills and a result – driven approach. · Exposure to Dairy manufacturing facilities. · Extensive relevant exposure in a Dairy organization is essential · Having Good knowledge of relevant purchase procedures · MS Office · SAP · Market scenarios for the concerned products Experience & Qualification: Ø 18-22 Years of experience in procurement of Dairy Products with large manufacturing setup – mandatory Ø B. Tech (Food Technology) – preferred Ø Post Graduate in Materials Management - preferred
