General Manager

Job Description : GM/CEO UAE FOR FASHION INDUSTRY A Dubai based fast-growing fashion brand with focus on resort wear, is looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join them in the role of a General Manager/CEO. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the company, ensuring sales performance, profitability, brand recognition, team development, superior customer service and customer database building and development. Performing as the managing director of corporate operations you will be the main link between the different divisions within the company. The ideal candidate for this position has a proven track record of brand-building, business building and experience of growing sales, preferably with a Summer/Resort wear brand, on a global scale. You will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed with everything you do in life, and the glass is always half full. You understand that one sometimes have to be firm, but also that one always get more from a smile than a harsh comment. Roles and responsibility include, but not limited to: · Direct the company in keeping with the vision outlined for the company by Owners · Represent the company as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings · Work closely with the Finance team, to prepare annual budgets, manage to look after the PNL of different areas · Work closely with the sales and marketing team with regards to building the brand, reaching out and targeting the right customers · Assess and analyze market/share and sales potential to define the divisions’ growth · Develop short and long term business strategies and ensure implementation of the same to achieve commercial gains and objectives · Oversee quality control throughout the company, establishing goals for each department in partnership with division managers. Requirements: Experience and Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Business Management, or similar. 15+ years experience our of which minimum 5 years of corporate managerial experience within a multinational wholesale clothing and/or apparel/ retail environment is a must. Skills: • Good understanding and experience in Fashion/ Clothing / Retail environment/ E-commerce. • Advanced skills in MS Office and knowledge of accounting for reporting purposes. • Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly. • Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts.
