Export Manager

Job Description : EXPORT MANAGER UAE Export Manager to join a leading food and beverage manufacturing business to help drive their business growth in international markets outside of the Middle East. This will require somebody who has the ability to identify and penetrate new regions from scratch. You will need to effectively identify and influence distributors to formulate viable RTM / GTM strategies whilst having a strong understanding a different cultural, regional, and regulatory challenges. This is a great opportunity for somebody who likes to have accountability and has an entrepreneurial mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop the Export departmental vision, mission and strategy in line with the organizational strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies across the business · Oversee the consolidation and recommend the Export department budget · Monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon · Lead and guide project management teams in the planning, organizing, management and control of various projects in order to ensure that the project cycle is completed meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives · Identify and recommend business opportunities in an effort to grow the business and maximize profits · Identify, incubate, and develop selected new ideas, initiatives and products in an effort to increase profitability · Manage the different contracts under the Export department to ensure meeting the agreed upon SLA’s · Build and manage relationships with existing and new clients to ensure the smooth flow of activities · Review and approve marketing material to ensure accuracy in the messages conveyed · Oversee supply chain activities to ensure an increased level of efficiency · Manage & evaluate employees’ performance with continuous feedback on their assigned targets and provide development opportunities to maximize the potential and engagement of employees · Manage the talent pipeline in the organization through recruitment, effective utilization of employee development programs, mentoring programs, career planning and succession planning · Manage departmental changes through continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans · Ensure that all departmental reports of the Export department are prepared timely and accurately and meet the company and department requirements, standards, policies and procedures · Develop and oversee the implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Export department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services · Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude. KEY INGREDIENTS: · 10+ years of progressive experience within the fresh food manufacturing sector is essential, ideally Dairy / Juice · Strong network of distributors / contacts across Africa within the fresh food manufacturing sector · Experience within other international markets would be desirable · Excellent interpersonal skills · Must have a Bachelor’s Degree as a minimum education level · Fluency in English is a must.
