Finance Head

Job Description : FINANCE HEAD EAST AFRICA 15-20 years experience Preference for candidates currently living in the Africa region Key Duties and Responsibilities a) Prepares monthly /quarterly and yearly Management Accounts and broader statistical reports, providing insights on business performance b) Ensures timely and accurate book keeping of all company financial transactions are undertaken in observance of GAAP, IAS and IFRS c) Working capital management - This includes but not limited to credit control, optimal inventory levels management and proper scheduling of supplier payments d) Calculates Landed Costs of imports and supports Commercial teams to set prices as per the company pricing policy e) Coordinates trade finance facilities with commercial banks and foreign suppliers to ensure timely processing of Letters of Credit and other related instruments Key Qualifications and Requirements: a) Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce/Accounting/Business b) Fully qualified CPA with solid financial accounting background c) 5 years of experience as Financial Controller in a reputable company d) Technical knowledge and practice of accounting standards IFRS and IAS e) Advanced knowledge in use of Excel, Power point and ERP Systems f] Fluency in English a must, working knowledge of French is a desirable for this role.
