Project Controller

Job Description : PROJECT CONTROLLER SOUTH AFRICA FOR SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC · Monitor and implement measures to ensure compliance to our internal Revenue recognition rules · Review project budget and deadlines with project manager · Monitor project to ensure it meets budget guidelines · Monitor financial performance of all FS Projects · Oversee auditing of project financials when necessary Customer Project Execution Project Budgeting: · Work closely with Project Managers (PMs) to develop project budgets and forecasted rate of invoicing. · Monitor financial performance of all projects under field service Monitor Projects: · Monitor projects financial performance during execution and ensures healthy gross margin on projects · Projects Cashflow analysis · Maintain an up-to-date database of all projects with a ‘traffic light’ status to provide the Projects team lead, operations director and VP of all project information at a glance · Provide regular reports on projects deviating from the budgeted figures/as sold figures · Build trends and scenarios for the team on expected financial performance · Ad hoc client profitability analysis · Provision of project profitability analysis on weekly basis · Ensuring consistency, accurate entry, and accurate reporting of all accounts · Identify and implement measures to reduce cancellation of Orders in SAP Develop Controls: · Performance management - this includes identifying trends and deviations from the original plan and recommending appropriate corrective actions · Baseline management – developing, setting and managing baseline(s) – the process of managing the reference levels against which a project is monitored and controlled · Change control - establishing protocols to alter the scope of a project, implementing the protocols when necessary and updating configuration documentation including contracts to develop, maintain and apply quality management processes for the ongoing project or change initiative Qualifications Education · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field · 8+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience Technical requirements · Mastering project management software tools (MS Excel, MS Project) Language requirements · English fluency is a must · Another language will be valuable Key Sucess Factors · Solid Customer Project Management Experience · P&L and profitability mechanism understanding · Strong analytical and evaluation skills
