Senior Logistics Manager

Job Description : SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER NIGERIA it's a global chemical manufacturing company has operations in Asia, Europe, Africa and North & South America. Job Title : Sr. Mgr. Logistics Reporting to : Head of logistics Department : Commercial Job Location : Port Harcourt, Nigeria YOUR ROLE SUMMARY: Looking after import and exports operational activities including export/imports documentation, coordination with plant, purchase, marketing, shipping line, Custom House Agent, Ports & Terminals for imports and exports shipments. YOUR ROLE SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Imports clearing procedure as per country requirement. 2. Export clearing procedure as per country requirement. 3. Export Imports documentation as per country requirement. 4. Knowledge of identifying Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HS Code) as per specific product to calculate duty implication. 5. Calculation of Duty factors as per country requirement. 6. Knowledge of Country Imports & Exports Policies and regulations. 7. Coordination with different regulatory agencies as well as Custom House Agent (CHA), Port, Terminal, Shipping Line etc. 8. Freight negotiation with shipping Line for imports and exports shipment. Key Stakeholder: Commercial Head Production Head Qualification, Experience & Skills required: Engineering Graduate and/or MBA Experience: 10-15 years experience in Imports and export with good understanding of International Trade Custom clearances / Good understanding on Customs Tariffs / HS Codes - Experience in Vessel Chartering will be added advantage / knowledge of Project cargo movement will be added advantage. - Understanding of Materials management function will be added - Understanding of Logistics management and planning for imports and export order execution.
