Finance Controller

Job Description : PROJECT FC AUSTRALIA Based out of Melbourne Direct and control the finance function at one of the main projects for the business here in Australia. This role would suit candidates with a strong background in project financial control within the wider energy or natural resources industries. The role is also a key business partner to the project directors and other site based operational staff. Key Responsibilities; · End to end control of all aspects of the finance function within the project including Accounting, Budget and Reporting, Tax, Treasury and Audit. · Liaise with the project managers and perform financial analysis of the project's performance. · Maintain Project Finance model to track the funding source and financial costs of the project. · Preparation and analysis of project budgets, control initiatives as well as updated forecasts. · Provide input for Fixed Asset Register in the accounting system. Key Requirements; · CA/CPA qualified. · Relevant experience within the energy/natural resources industry. · Strong numerical and accounting knowledge. · Analytical and resourceful in solving problems. · Proven experience dealing with operational and site based personnel.
