Job Description : General Sales Manager needed for a fast growing FMCG company in Kumasi, Ghana. · Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any other relevant field. MBA is a plus. · 8+ years of proven work experience in a similar role. · Experience in the FMCG industry is a must (preferably in the food industry). · Experience in Africa is a plus. · Experience managing a high performance sales team. · Good knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. · Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics. · Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills. · Excellent leadership and team management skills. · Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude. · Availability to travel as needed. · Energetic and results driven. · Lead 14 sales team members, including 2 Regional Sales Managers, to achieve sales targets, through setting detailed targets as well as designing proper incentive schemes. · Develop and implement effective sales strategies. · Establish productive and professional relationships with key customers. · Negotiate and close agreements with large customers. · Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements. · Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts. · Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities. · Liaise with Marketing department to ensure brand consistency. · Oversee the process of collection of trade receivables in order to achieve targeted credit terms policy. · Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
