Logistics Operations Head

Job Description : HEAD OF LOGISTICS OPERATIONS UAE Prestigious Dubai Based conglomerate is searching for a Head of Logistics Operations · Ownership of the Logistics budget & full operational responsibility across supply chain, freight, customs clearance, warehousing , distribution, omnichannel fulfillment, last mile delivery and retail back-store operations management. · Creates a performance-driven organization focused on continuous improvement of all operational metrics (including safety, quality, delivery, and profitability) · Implementation of high-volume warehousing and distribution processes, techniques, and tools to achieve world-class results that meets financial and operational objectives · Maximizes warehouse and logistics efficiency and effectiveness in order to continue to meet the complex demands of customers. · Supports in the development and subsequent revision of the logistics SOPs and policies at, based on best practices and benchmarks. · Establishes and sustains strong working relationships with government and customs authorities, and any other relevant parties to facilitate co-operation in performing business activities · Formulates, develops, and owns Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including but not limited to, dock to stock, OTIF, cost per unit, last mile delivery performance and initiates corrective and preventive measures. · Keeps abreast of significant economic, political and technical trends, as well as regulatory guidelines which may have an impact on logistics · Promote and develop tight integration between planning, logistics and other operational areas. · Ensure distribution warehouses are sized, designed and staffed properly in line with future requirements for volume, handling, storage, shipping and value-added service. · Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation are in place, using Lean, Six Sigma and ISO standards.
