Job Description : DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC SOURCING SINGAPORE A tier-1 FMCG company that is a market leader in the Consumer industry with a large global network worldwide are looking to grow deeper within each function that supports the overall organization end goals. They are constantly reinventing and challenging themselves to keep ahead of consumer demands and remain competitive in current times. As their business is gaining more grounds on market share, they are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Strategic Sourcing Director (CAPEX) to be based at their Regional HQ in Singapore. To develop the maturity of sourcing strategy with support from the regional centralized procurement leads by analysing, mapping and understanding the content of capex spend, tracking & tracing financial impact of tender execution and contract compliance. · To be accountable for category management activities across the region for direct and indirect commodities such as raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and external manufacturing. · To lead by example in the utilization of e-Sourcing and analytics and drive significant cost reduction projects and actions. · To be responsible for the supplier base and manage critical relationships with the stakeholder group by creating additional business value through structured supplier relationship management with key suppliers. · To develop collaboration and partnership to gain insights into market and commodity trends critical to predict the performance of procurement. · To partner with commercial/business unit leadership in developing and aligning strategies, provide meaningful supply/market insights to drive margin improvement, and support external customer service strategies. · To collaborate and build effective relationships with cross-functional team such as Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality leadership to deliver cost and quality improvements and to deliver superior supplier selection for new product innovation. The successful applicant will have sufficient years of experience within Procurement as a function ideally from a Manufacturing environment within FMCG as an Industry. You should also possess good time management and excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a well-structured environment. You'll need to have a broad knowledge of supplier management procedures with a good understanding working in a highly matrix environment.
