Job Description : Director of Technology for a E-Commerce company : Location : INDORE (Work from office job) Preferred Industry background : Retail, B2C Tech Org, FMCG. Salary Bracket : 50-70 LPA or any plus for deserving candidate. Gender : ANY JD : Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships • Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions • Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs • Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations • Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets • Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence • Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each • Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity • Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements • Managing all or part of the IT department, including: • Handling & creating development team, Operations team, QA team, Support Team & Security Team, Process team & Virtual teams. • Handling employees’ concerns and performances • Determining business requirements for IT systems • Identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security • Directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware • Identifying and recommending new technology solutions • Managing the organization’s help desk (internal, external, or both) • Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary • Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting • Developing & Implementing IT policies
