Operations Head

Job Description : Operations Head position, for Mining project, in West Africa: capable qualified Indian, B.E. & QP, Mining Operation Head for a Brownfield Opencast Iron ore Mining project, in West African countries. The project includes mechanized contractor HEMM equipment based Mining operations, Crushing operations and complicated Logistics, from Mines to nearest port. Operations is tricky as mineral resources are not fully established. Iron Ore resource is mostly of thin layer (mostly 30cms to 70cms), though containing very high quality Magnetite and Haematite Iron Ore, quality ranging from +60% (Fe) to as high as 67% of Fe (Fer). So huge permutations and combinations will be needed. At rated capacity the budgeted target is Iron Ore ROM production program of minimum 3,000TPD of +64% (Fe%). Crushing and sizing also of similar capacity in minimum 2 locations separated by 30km. Mandatory requirements:- # Age should be minimum 55 and above, with a demonstrable hardcore past successes, particularly with critical African projects, minimum 5 years. # B.E. from IIT, ISM, IIEST, BHU-IT. # Only those who managed African Mining operations, as COO, CEO, or as Operations Head, should apply. # Preferably from Iron Ore Industry those who have managed projects in NMDC (#nmdc) , #tata , #jindal , Aditya #birla #iron Ore projects, Sesa Goa, etc. # "First class" DGMS Safety Certification is preferable but not mandatory if operations experiences is excellent. # Must have managed African Iron Ore projects minimum 5 years as COO, CEO, Operations Head. # French speaking ability will have better opportunities. # Discontinuation of jobs not an issue is genuine. # Must possess Mining Operations experiences minimum 25 years. # Must have managed complete Iron Ore Mining operations for minimum 10 years. (No relaxations on this). # Responsibilities include hardcore operations, Safety & HSE, cost-effective operations, Fleet deployments, Cost-modelling, Capex-Opex budgeting process in real time, Cost analysis, Geo-Exploration, Resources evaluations, Procurements of key and essential consumables, right recruitment, liaisons with local communities, etc mostly Mine Operation based all the responsibilities.
