20 yearsJob Description : PROJECT MANAGER CAYMAN ISLANDS Salary: $90,000 US plus annual bonus & benefits (full visa and relocation support if required) A multi-award-winning property advisor that project manages and interior designs some of the world’s finest real estate is recruiting a Project Manager to be based in their Cayman Islands office. Their projects consist of large penthouses & town houses in Central London & New York to spectacular luxury hotel resorts in the Caribbean. Acting for a host of different clients, they offer a service that provides their clients with a hassle-free development experience. They also invest their own capital and have a spectacular portfolio of projects in the Cayman Islands for an experience Project Manager to take a lead role on and deliver. The role Reporting into the Principle you will pride yourself on being service orientated and proactive in the pursuit for perfection and delivery. · Managing multiple projects within 5 miles of one another; a 60,000 sq ft spa and athletic facility, a luxury beach club, several high-end food & beverage concepts, a 6,000 sq ft luxury restaurant and the concept stages of a major mixed-use development (it will be the largest development on the Islands when complete) · Managing and forming, where required, a professional consultancy team dealing with the necessary disciplines each project requires · Attend all project meetings and ensure that you follow up on minutes and actions · Maintain project documentation, programmes and master budget · Managing the delivery of a comprehensive tender package for main contractors and separate packages for specialist contractors · Prequalifying contractors and suppliers · Arranging a comprehensive and competitive tender process · Manage the professional external consultancy teams · Monitoring and reporting on contractor’s progress against the contract programme · Arrange design and project meetings · Manage risk registers · Dealing with the QS and final accounts and practical completion · Preparing regular reporting for the client · Reporting and discussing the projects with senior management at regular meetings About you · Construction or engineering background with a related professional qualification/accreditation · A solid understanding of structural engineering is preferable · An appreciation of the challenges and complications associated with construction in beach side locations · Highly organized, direct, and experienced in managing construction sites and driving them forward · Full drives license · An ability to identify issues on early on in a programme and experienced in driving solutions · Autonomous with a track record of delivering challenging construction & engineering projects in tough cultural environments · Ideally high-end project experience (residential, mixed use, food & beverage)
