Plant Engineer

Job Description : PLANT ENGINEER NIGERIA The selected candidate will be in-charge of operations and maintenance for an industrial gas plant with a capacity of 200 M3/Hr Oxygen/Nitrogen, 100M3/hr Acetylene, 500 kg/hr &1000 Kg/hr Co2 plants and 300m3/hr Argon compression unit. The plant facility is located at Ota. Qualification & Experience: · Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering. · Candidate should have about 8 to 10 years of experience, of which 5 years should be as the plant Engineer of a reputed Industrial Gases manufacturing unit. · Possess production and maintenance experience in Oxygen/Nitrogen, Acetylene, Co2 plants and Pump filling stations. · Experience in operating and maintaining of air compressor is a must. · “End to end” knowledge of Oxygen/Nitrogen, Acetylene, Co2 plants operations and maintenance. · Technical acquaintance of Air compressors, expansion engines, liquid pumps, gas compressors, refrigeration compressors, water pumps etc, and its specific operation and maintenance issues. · Working knowledge of Ingersoll Rand Compressor and Mycom CO2 compressors. · Knowledge of Mycom refrigeration compressors will be an added advantage. · Supervise over a 100 regular and contract staff deployed in plant operations and maintenance. · Selected candidate should have an eye for cost cutting and be proficient in English. Role Objective: To ensure effective operations and maintenance to ensure the production targets are met and there is “ZERO” unplanned plant downtime. Requirements: · Draw the optimum production plan in consultation of all concerned. · Bachelor status. · Candidate should be present in Nigeria. ? · African/ Nigerian experience is considered an added advantage. · Experience in handling a large Nigerian workforce is an added benefit. · Implementation of Quality Policy Safety & Environment Policy & Objectives as defined · Implementation of QMS in line with ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007. · Responsible for the overall operations of Plant & machinery including raw material & production planning, productivity, plant & equipment Maintenance, stores & purchase activities · Ensure uninterrupted plant operations as per production plan. · Ensure that the daily production plan is well coordinated and corresponds to the DOs issued. · Ensure that the Plant and machinery are maintained in a healthy condition. · Drive excellent housekeeping in the plant and good housekeeping becomes a habit. · All the preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to. · To ensure adequate training is imparted to the local staff so that their skills remain updated.
