Supply Chain Manager

Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER MALAYSIA A leading FMCG player is looking for a Factory Supply Chain Manager to be based in Selangor, Malaysia. Reporting to the Factory Manager, this job will be responsible for leading supply chain in totality within the factory including purchasing, materials requisition planning (MRP), master production schedule (MPS), raw materials and finished goods warehouse, and logistics while working closely with various stakeholders in production, engineering, quality, finance and more. About the Factory Supply Chain Manager Role: As the Factory Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a team of 25 people across MRP, MPS, warehouse and purchasing function to ensure smooth planning operation and project implementation to optimise operations (raw materials, packaging inventory, minimise change over, etc.). Key Responsibilities: · Be responsible for effective materials and production planning in line with business needs supporting local and export markets · Develop effective relationships with the demand planning team, thus allowing for seamless communication when issues arise · Develop and maintain planning processes including SAP to ensure timeliness and accuracy of planning and analysis · Proactively initiate inventory control and reduction programs in the plants aiming to continuously reduce inventory levels of raw and pack materials, and ensure inventory accuracy at month end cycle counts · Proactively initiate decomplexity initiatives when SKUs drop below agreed minimum production hurdle rates, or raw/pack materials face MOQ issues · Develop material warehouse management system to ensure proper storage, handling and preservation · Train and guide subordinates to develop their abilities to achieve the department’s goals For you to excel in this role, work experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment as well as the agility to anticipate various challenges in such a dynamic and fast pace industry. If you bring along leadership experience and strong work relationships with key stakeholders in the factory, you will certainly be an added advantage to be considered. Key Requirements: · Degree in logistics management, supply chain business studies, administration, or any other professional qualifications · At least 10 years experience in supply chain, planning, supply chain management or logistics · Good analytical and computer literacy · Good relationship building and networking across cross functions (operations, supply chain, commercial, sales and marketing, project, etc.) · Good communication, team building centric and management skills
