General Manager

Job Description : GM SINGAPORE An exciting General Manager job has just become available at one of the most reputable companies. Reporting directly to the Deputy Chairman, this is a role for an individual who has strong sales, management, and operation background in the engineering solutions for the oil and gas, and offshore industry. About the General Manager Role: In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing a team of management people, along with operations within Singapore, profit and loss, revenue, and safety targets. Key Responsibilities: · Profit and loss (P&L) target, operations, and the management team · Prepare annual budget and producing detailed business operating plan · Oversee company’s fiscal activity · Develop and execute business strategies across commercial, marketing and operation functions · Establish strategic partnership and build on existing customers that will support the growth of the company · Review workflow process, and drive continuous improvement towards operational excellence · Generate business performance reports monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for revenue · Lead the local team and work closely with cross functional teams in HQ · Formalise gap analysis in the business To succeed in this General Manager role, you will need to have strong sales, management, and financial qualifications experience. You will need to have experience of budgeting and financial planning preferably with industry experience in engineering solutions for the oil and gas and offshore sector. Key Requirements: · Minimum of 10 years' working experience in the offshore, oil and gas or related industrial markets · Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred · Proven track record in leading and growing business in the offshore or oil and gas sector · Track record in demonstrating their understanding of the business and business acumen · Ability to recruit staffs, monitor individual performance · Good technical knowledge of engineering, construction and maintenance services in the oil and gas, petrochemical, offshore and pharmaceutical industries · Experience with managing onshore project EPC is a plus
