Procurement Head

Job Description : HEAD OF INDIRECT PROCUREMENT UAE Salary AED 50-55k / month. a large company in the UAE, seeking a Head of Indirect Procurement for their Headquarters in Dubai. *Please note that any candidates from construction / real estate / projects would not be suitable. The position would see you managing the team, leading and developing their careers. You would also overhaul the Procurement department, bringing in new updated techniques learned from your previous MNC employers. Responsibilities · Develop strategic procurement plan, driving change across the department · Be the supply management partner for the Business Units (BUs) · Development of the Department’s policies, standards, rules and procedures ,ensuring procedures and key controls remain fit for purpose, reflect legislative and regulatory requirements · Supervise the procurement & contract management teams · Lead the reconciliation of stock on monthly basis · Manage all activities related to the tendering process including development of the documentation · Manage competitive bidding process · Manage the archiving of all tender documentation · Management of business and financial risk, deriving maximum value from our spend through appropriate procurement strategies and supplier selection criteria, whilst mitigating risks to business and customer objectives and meeting our customer service requirements · Develop all supplier sourcing strategies in consultation with the relevant stakeholders · Negotiation with vendors/suppliers of major services and critical contracts prices · Develop the vendor management system · Deliver annual savings targets · Continue the company's evolution in best practice procurement capabilities and organisational development, transforming the organisation from one that is locally-driven to one supported by an industry leading centralised function. Requirements · At least 15 years experience of leading a centralized corporate indirect procurement department, in a large group or multinational company, including at least 2 years in the UAE · CIPS qualification is preferred · Driven by delivering financial results through effective procurement process and approach · Highly commercial mind-set · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced complex environment · Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, and leading through influence, at all levels of the organisation · Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders successfully · Willing to drive change and deal with resistance Confident communicator · A hands-on, results-oriented approach to business with a 'can-do' attitude · Proven track record of being able to develop a function to match business requirements and exceed expectations · Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills · Strong Business Acumen: has a pulse on the industry and identifies competitive opportunities; acts quickly to seize opportunities with the ability to identify and capitalise on both trends and innovative thinking · Possess a 'customer first' attitude; demonstrating passionate commitment to the customer and product/service quality · Champion the product/services and the customer's needs and implement a model of continuous improvement in both company goals and spend management · Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills · Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
