Job Description : TAXATION HEAD NIGERIA FOR STERLING OIL Providing proactive leadership assistance in areas of Income Tax (Domestic Tax, International Tax & Transfer Pricing), Exchange Control Regulations, Indirect Tax, Labor Laws, and Corporate Law etc Proficient in managing tax and regulatory compliances for Indian and multinational companies with presence in multiple geographies Steering end-to-end tax and regulatory compliances, planning present & future taxes Track record in delivering solution-based advice on positions to be adopted on tax and regulatory issues develop solutions to address specific client issues, mitigate statutory risks, structured business transactions such as acquisition / hive-off of businesses / assets Play a key role in managing and representing matters before various authorities for assessment, appeal, dispute resolutions, seeking concessions, compounding of contraventions, briefing Senior legal Counsels on complex matters and seek opinions To maintain relationship with various statutory authorities and driving controllership of tax and regulatory matters To Ensure Tax and Regulatory Compliances in a timely manner and escalating case of delay with likely consequences/ risks Desired Candidate Profile Chartered Accountant or MBA finance with minimum 15 years of experience in Taxation ( direct / Indirect ) Able to lead, Manage & motivate team Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC , Petrochemical will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
