Terminal Operations Manager 
15 yearsJob Description : Termina lOperation Manager Location: Nigeria Salary: Offshore + local Accommodation: Bachelor/Family Responsibilities Establishes and implements current and long range goals (6-12 months), objectives, and plans of port operations and expansions. Ensures a cost efficient operation in excess of current best practices. Works closely with the HOC (Hub Operations Centre) to deliver the agreed performance to the clients. Heads and executes specific operations projects, targeted at improving safety, optimising our resources, minimising our cost. Leading role in selection, negotiation and finalization of agreements with suppliers & customers including execution & maintenance of SLA’s. Liaises closely with shipping ompany, customs agents, trucking companies, customs, port authorities, etc. to ensure that their requirements are met. Liaises closely with vendors, suppliers, external consultants, etc. to ensure that divergent deliverables are met as required by the terminal Ensures that the terminal adheres to PTP and APM Terminals world standards. Liaise with labor unions (where applicable) and on behalf of PTP take part in long-term contract negotiations with labor unions. Ensure industrial harmony with the workforce. Must haves Minimum university degree/post degree Minimum 15 years’ experience in operations management roles in (mega) #terminals, preferably trans-shipment. Solid understanding of the container shipping industry and an ability to relate with shipping company and other associated industry managers. understanding of modern terminal operations including computer terminal management systems. Extensive and in depth understanding of vessel and yard planning. Extensive knowledge of APMTerminals or other International Operator’s operational practices. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Experience in finance related matters, setting budgets and reporting against financial objectives.
