General Manager 
15 yearsJob Description : GM PROJECT SOUTH AFRICA ONLY INDIANS RELOCATION : YES a mining company in the process of building a magnetite beneficiation plant in Phalaborwa with capacity of producing 1 million tons of the beneficiated product per annum. They are searching for a General Manager to oversee the project implementation and ensure the project will be completed within cost and time, whilst meeting all SHEQ and compliance requirements. Job Description · Oversee the project implementation to ensure that project will be completed within cost and time while meeting all the SHEQ and compliance requirements · Develop and implement business operating and governance policies and processes for all the areas of the business such as finance, procurement, safety, quality control, O&M · Establish budgets and forecasting · Lead operation and maintenance planning and their implementation · Develop, implement, monitor and control key KPIs in the business using balance score card · Manage contractors and oversee procurement activities · Manage safety and ensure compliance in the business · Manage all the stakeholders in the business such as community, government authorities and employees · Perform risk assessments, prepare mitigation plans and manage risks on continued basis · Instil continuous improvement culture in the company · Report the business performance to the Board regularly Key Deliverables · Achieve targeted operational and financial performance · Meet safety, quality, compliance and governance requirements · Sound relationship with the stakeholders Experience & Skill Requirement · Minimum 5 years of experience in executing projects in the Mining Environment, at least led a project over USD100m as a project manager. · Minimum 15 years of experience in operation and maintenance in the mining processing plants · Minimum 10 years of Sr. Management experience · Good knowledge of design, engineering and optimization of process plants · Conversant with MHSA and able to take 3.1 (a) legal appointment · Excellent financial acumen: acquainted with financial modelling, knowledgeable in budgeting and forecasting, skilled in performing scenario planning and competent in decision making through financial analysis · Proficient in contract and procurement management · Adequate report writing and presentation skills · Appropriate leadership and team management skills · Self-driven, adaptable, ethical, dedicated and accountable · Understand exports and requirements Qualification Requirements · Bachelor’s Degree (preferable mechanical engineering or metallurgy) · Post Graduate Management Qualification (Must) · Eng., GCC & PMP (Added Advantage)
