Job Description : BUYING HEAD UAE one of the largest retail conglomerates operating in 21 countries in the region are seeking to hire a Global Head of Buying for their apparel business. The position, which reports directly to the CEO of the business is responsible for driving and executing robust apparel product strategy across the business (encompassing multiple countries) thereby providing competitive edge and profitable growth to the business. The selected candidate will be supported by a team of around 70 buying and design professionals. · fashion apparel buying experience with strong domain expertise in ladies apparel buying and preferable exposure to one or more categories such as kids, men and lingerie (deeper expertise in ladies + 1 more category is essential) · Competition mapping experience to identify business opportunities and provide price and product leadership in the market · Experience in monitoring and benchmarking market intelligence data, competitor findings and global trends and providing periodic feedback to the senior management · Leadership experience managing a large team · Global experience of managing private label buying across multiple geographies
