Job Description : PLANT HEAD SENEGAL Looking for an organized plant manager to supervise all manufacturing processes at the plant. The plant manager is responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met while following health and safety protocols. To be successful as a plant manager you must be able to multitask. Job description Roles and Responsibilities · Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to ensure ultimate product quality. · Familiarity with raw material supplier, Negotiation, selection reliable suppliers. · Familiarity in setting up a new multi-functional LED plant including layout design. · Familiarity with all required raw material component for LED light bulb, 2 in 1 mosquito killer light bulb and all in one solar streetlight. · Ensure that a steady flow of both raw materials to the plant and easy flow of finished products through wholesale distributors to the market. · Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. · Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery. · Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. · Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. · Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions when needed. · Create a trustworthy relationship with work group and recruit, manage, develop, and train plant staff. · Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime. · Create, develop, and commit to plant safety procedures. · Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on asset. · Address employees issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements · Maintain optimal level of customer services for both internal and external customers. · Assist operation team to implement all business goals through appropriate lean manufacturing methodology. · Provide daily operation report. · Control distribution and supply inventory · Maintain efficient quality of all products within required budget and prepare schedule. · Provide support to all facility activities and prepare profit plans for plant. · Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes · Ability to create accountability and to lead by example (Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills) · Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise. · Familiarity with automatic, semi-automatic and manual assembly process for LED light bulb, 2 in 1 mosquito killer light bulb and all in one Solar streetlight · Familiarity with automatic and semi-automatic assembly machine function and technology. · Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. · Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) · Ensure publishing of management reports pertaining to production, material efficiency and labour efficiency accurately and timely. · Handle all other miscellaneous works like procurement of Packaging & Raw material including faulty delivered raw materials. Desired Candidate Profile · Good leadership and communication skills. · Understanding of primary manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes. · Problem analysing and solving skills. · Quality control and quality problem solving skills. · Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as Kaizens, TPM, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Visual management, Six Sigma and Cellular concept. · Good Computer literacy · French speaking Experience: 15-25 years of experience managing entire LED Plant operations Qualification: Engineering background
