Job Description : DGM FINANCE SINGAPORE An exciting newly created Deputy GM, Finance job has become available at an established shipping firm that is experiencing exponential growth. About the Deputy GM, Finance Role: Reporting to the CFO, you will provide leadership to the finance team to ensure smooth and effective financial operations and treasury functions for the group. This includes accurate and timely statutory, audit and management reporting, financial budgeting, tax & accounting, cash management and treasury functions. Key Requirements: · Manage a finance division of over 50 professionals · Manage the overall financial operations and control of the company to ensure compliance with fiscal and legal requirements and corporate governance · Supervise various international offices in respect of financial planning, taxation, cash management and internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements · Partner with business heads to provide sounds financial advice and analysis which positively impacts the business decision-making process · Advise the business on the financial implications of major changes, such as acquisitions, financial investments, pricing, costing, systems, integration and financial process-reengineering · Develop and manage good relationships with banks and other finance providers, and negotiate and execute financing arrangements in accordance with agreed financial plans · Provide short and long-term recommendations on asset-liability management · Develop and lead the finance team in achieving company goals To succeed in this Deputy GM, Finance role, you need to have holistic experience especially in the area of asset-liability management and excellent stakeholder management. Key Requirements: · Degree educated and CPA qualified (or equivalent) · At least 15 years relevant, progressive experience of which five years should be as a senior finance professional with a global firm · Expert in asset-liability management, leverage, debt servicing, minimal capital requirements to enhance profitability · Proven leadership to lead finance teams in different countries, setting direction, motivating and developing teams · Hands-on individual who has a keen eye for technical details without losing sight of the overall big picture · Good stakeholder management skills and able to thrive in fast, dynamic environment · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
