Engineering Director

Job Description : ENGINEERING DIRECTOR KSA a leading product development firm and renowned across the region for their innovative AI solutions. The company has an aggressive expansion plan and a number of new and exciting global products to be launched, as well as a team made up of ex-Google, Microsoft etc. As a result, they are looking for a dynamic Director of Engineering to lead their software engineering team. As Director of Engineering, responsibilities include: · Managing and coaching a high-performing software engineering team · Provide recommendations and solutions to help the overall tech strategy · Assess the firm’s current technical capabilities in order to make recommendations for improvement · Examine technology, resources and demands of the market to plan procedure and relevant projects · Direct, evaluate and confirm product design and changes · Develop and implement policies and procedures for the engineering team and wider business As a Director of Engineering, you will have the following skills / experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a top school · At least 10 years’ experience in software engineering, ideally B2B software · At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role · Proven experience in hiring and building teams · Experience in a fast-growing start-up environment is highly preferred · Solid experience with multiple programming languages including Java, Python and C · Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases · Clear, concise English communication skills and ability to explain complex system issues · Ability to work in a multi disciplinary team This role requires relocation to Saudi Arabia and relocation assistance is provided, as well as tax free salary, all-year round sunshine and shares.
