Job Description : GM SINGAPORE a brand new General Manager, Emerging Markets job has been created at a leading global medical consumables MNC. About the General Manager, Emerging Markets, Medical Consumables Role: Reporting directly to the VP of the entire APAC business for this company, as General Manager, Emerging Markets you will be in a business critical role responsible for the “growth engine” countries of the Asia Pacific region. You will be tasked to develop the strategic growth road map, manage commercial business operations, create customer partnerships and expand customer reach and coverage, shape the work culture and environment and develop a sustainable talented team within your region. Key Responsibilities: · Develop and implement a sustainable growth plan to increase market share and gain access to new channels/segments. Identify growth opportunities and prepare business plans and align stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes · Prepare and present annual budget & business plans as required to realise growth potential. Actively participate in the development of area specific business cases and marketing plans. Ensure adequate resources are there to deliver the desired results · Effectively support inventory planning and forecast processes to responsibly manage the balance sheet and support customer satisfaction · Direct sales and marketing team activities to ensure revenue and strategic objectives are achieved or exceeded · Develop a high performing and customer-centric culture · Drive sales effectiveness and efficiency including CRM compliance to build robust sales pipeline and successful conversion of the sales opportunities · Build depth of talent – sales and marketing capability and product and customer knowledg · Develop strong and collaborate relationships with end users, key customers and influencers to drive a growth agenda. Build a network and interact regularly with customers, KOL’s and policy makers to gather market intelligence, customer and regulatory insights. Ensure external stakeholders are kept informed and engaged with the company, its products, initiatives and programmes · Make recommendations about new markets, products or channels that will drive growth · Manage and expand the distributor and sub dealer network to grow brand and improve business performance. Conduct regular business reviews and updates with key distributor partners to identify and gain agreement for business development opportunities. Ensure distributor partners are acting compliantly to represent and support the business · Actively work with regional and global marketing teams to share best practices, customer learnings to enable maximum revenue and customer satisfaction to be delivered by the company to targeted customer segments · As a member of the APAC Leadership Team, advance the emerging markets agenda in alignment with APAC and global business objectives. Represent the voice of emerging markets customers and employees in global and regional forums To succeed in this General Manager, Emerging Markets, Medical Consumables role, you will need to be able to influence internal and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes, as well as be proficient in business management and operations, specifically sales, marketing and business development skills. Key Requirements: · 10 years' minimum of senior sales, marketing and business development experience in medical devices sector, preferably consumables · Demonstrated track record of building sustainable growth in ASEAN and/or China healthcare markets · Adept in business reporting of P&L and other KPI’s to senior business executives. Must have managed and owned a P&L · Managed managers and built high performance sales teams (direct and indirect) · Direct customer and distributor management experience with strong negotiation skills · Team builder and collaborator · Problem solver, overcomes obstacles, completes tasks · English proficient (written and spoken). Mandarin or Korean language skills an advantage
