Job Description : SALES HEAD EAST AFRICA FOR STEEL PRODUCTS Overall responsibility for the smooth functioning of the Sales and Marketing function of the Organization, both domestic and export markets. Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budget Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for all products/services Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Develops and recommends product positioning, customer support and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share as well as aligning the market share with production and trading capacity of the company; thereby recommending new investment proposals/ ideas with regard to product design, quality and output to align with market growth and preferences Monitors competitor products, pricing, sales and marketing activities. Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends. Credit control and management, ensuring credit policies are adhered to and recommending new credit terms/credit limit enhancement to the credit committee Responsible for planning of market staff visits on a regular basis To meet with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to the management Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote the products Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events. Ensures regular departmental/ segment/ sub-segment meetings are held, documented and action plans devised to ensure growth across all lines Ensures company sales policies are up to date and adhered to, with relevant SOP’s available to guide the sales team Ensures adequate process and product knowledge within the team, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction & suggest necessary training programs for team members so as to enhance knowledge satisfaction Candidate Profile : Graduate + MBA - Marketing 10-15 years of Sales & Marketing experience Must have managed steel construction materials African/International exposure would be highly considered.
