Job Description : Head of R&D – PU Location: Mumbai, India Indian Expats or Foreign Nationalities can apply for this role Qualification: Ph.D. in Polymer Science/Chemistry, preferably with International Post -Doctoral experience. Years of Exp: 15+ Years in R&D for Adhesives/Sealants Industry Offer: Upto 1.0 Crores per annum To lead a R&D team to deliver PU based adhesive and sealant formulations. Proactively connect with business to develop customer centric Innovation and cost saving NPDs. Job Responsibilities: - Apply synthetic background and deep understanding of structure property relationships to conceptualize, develop, and characterize new products aligned with our growth initiatives. - Identify and propose new research spaces and opportunities in developing new products - Serve as a subject matter expert to help the business and marketing. Make sound business decisions through detailed analysis of data and external technologies of interest. Key Knowledge experience / skills - Strong technology leadership with proven track record in commercializing breakthrough innovations in the area of silicone and MS/STP adhesives, sealant and coatings. - Experience in building multi- generation product planning. - Strong Project Management & analytical skills - Agility with continuous improvement thought process. - Effective Leadership and Team Management Skills Preferred Skills: - Experience in developing moisture and addition cured silicone formulations - Working knowledge of hybrid/PU adhesive and sealants - Understanding of STP and PU prepolymers
