Job Description : CFO AUSTRALIA Working as the CFO for a leading construction/bricklaying company with a head office in the Hobart CBD. Chief Financial Officer to join the business on a permanent full time basis. With a presence in both commercial and residential construction, they are a privately owned organisation, who have experienced significant growth over the last 2 years. Your new role Based in the Hobart CBD, as the CFO, you'll report directly to the Managing Director, and play a critical role in leading the finance operations of the group and providing strategic and commercial support and advice. You'll lead a team of 3 finance staff, oversee the financial compliance and provide meaningful advice to the Executive team, to assist with decision making. You'll also maintain a focus on system improvements, reporting, and ensuring the daily financial operations are running smoothly. What you'll need to succeed As a CA or CPA Qualified professional with substantial leadership experience, you'll have a demonstrated background as a leader within the commercial sector ideally from within a manufacturing or construction industry. You'll have a proven record leading a finance team and enjoy providing strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders to assist with decision making. You'll have well developed communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mindset which lends itself to problem solving. You'll also enjoy liaising with key stakeholders at different levels right across the business.
