Finance Controller

Job Description : FC CANADA a publicly traded (TSX and NASDAQ) fast-growing, one of largest innovation-focused cryptocurrency and digital asset miner, in finding a Financial Controller/Director. The Financial Controller/Director will report to the CFO, will be responsible for managing full "hands-on" accounting functions of the business, not limited to financial reporting and close, financial statements, MD&A, audit, budgeting, capital planning and also SOX compliance/implementation. The Financial Controller/Director will get extensive interaction with the executive levels, great exposure to business operation/partnering and various implementation of procedures and controls. Responsibilities: · Oversee accounting functions for the business including AR, AP, GL to ensure completeness and accuracy. · Manage financial reporting close process and preparation of public documents including quarterly/annual financial statements, MD&A and AIF. · Oversee the implementation of SOX 404 and manage ongoing requirements with internal stakeholders and external advisors. Contribute to key decisions regarding best practices and policies. · Manage quarterly review and annual audit of financial statements with external auditor. · Oversee preparation and analysis of key accounting, internal control and policy and procedure documentation. · Contribute to decisions regarding the ongoing build-out of the company’s finance and accounting department. · Assist in ad-hoc finance projects, including but not limited to budgeting, operations finance, capital markets analysis, due diligence, etc. · Involved with business operations, business partnering, modeling, budget and capital planning Requirements: · CPA, CA designation · 8-10 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, must have public company reporting (IFRS) · Must have knowledge and experience in SOX implementation and/or compliance · Open to new and disruptive technology and industry · Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior management · Ability to take ownership of deliverable and contribute to decision making process · Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and experience using accounting and reporting software (i.e.
