Job Description : GM SERVICE EXECUTION GCC · Leads, manages and co-ordinates the Service Execution (SE) function for Cement & Mining activities in the Middle East, · Ensures that the value proposition of SE is effectively promoted, the micro-economic environment explored, opportunities identified and captured, · Resources and capabilities are effectively applied to secure FLSmidth’s sustainability and profitability, · Customer and business needs are met at all times. · The correct culture, skill, knowledge and experience are in place to deliver on the strategy and aspirations of FLSmidth. Major Responsibilities General Management And Strategy · Take an active role as part of the management team of the SE department in SSAMESA, · Participates in the creation of a strategic plan for SE in the region, · Responsible for execution of a functional strategy in SE in the Middle East, · Responsible for the development of objectives for direct reports and area of responsibility, · Ensures the delivery of short-term business goals , that would include but not be limited to: · SE Revenue, · SE Revenue contribution margin, · SE Cost Absorption, · Net working capital, · Cash flow for operations, · SE Safety targets – LTIFR & TRIR, · Resource development, · SE DIFOT. · Ensures adherence to FLSmidth safety policies, · Responsibility for interfaces with Customers and ensure the relationships are maintained at an excellent level, · Negotiation of SE contracts in support of sales activities, including presenting complex proposals, reports to Customers, etc. · Handle complex and escalated Customer service issues, · Co-ordinate and direct activities, making detailed plans in conjunction with management and colleagues to ensure that Customer expectations are met, · Perform administrative functions such as approving expenditures, ensuring governance and compliance, etc. Human Resource Management · Staff management through ensuring key performance areas, critical performance objectives and performance standards are developed for all direct reports through a participative process. · Build succession planning capabilities in team. · Analyze resource requirements, determine market demands, for effective capacity planning in the Middle East. · Recruiting of employees. System Development And Maintenance · To set up, operate and manage an efficient system in accordance with the ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS18001 (with transition to ISO45001) system requirements, yet maintaining flexibility to promote initiatives and open-mindedness. · Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability. Reporting Relationships: · Position reports to the Head of Service Execution in region 4. · Manages multiple teams led by managers. Knowledge & Skills: · Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, · Effective verbal and written communication skills in Arabic, the official language of Saudi Arabia, will be an advantage, · Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders, · Demonstration of innovation, initiative, maturity and sound judgement. · Proven track record of negotiation and influencing skills – both external and internal, · Team player, able to balance multiple team memberships, Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Mining Engineering, Degree in Management is an added advantage. · 15+ years’ experience (at least 8 years in a management position). · Experience in managing a cross-functional team environment. · In-depth knowledge of Customer service principles and practices. · Proficiency in MS Office Applications. · Experience in use of social media platforms.
