Senior Engineering Manager

Job Description : SENIOR ENGINEEERING MANAGER DRC This is for a static plant; 33000 T PD ORE PROCESSING – MILLING & FLOTATION The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will be based at mine camp. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, expertise and direction to the engineering teams to effectively manage engineering operations, projects, planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution in order to achieve production targets of the mine. Essential Qualifications • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering • PMI certification or 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager position • GCC - Mines & Works / Minerals (SA or similar) would be an advantage . Knowledge and Experience • 15 years of experience in Plant and Mining equipment maintenance in an Engineering Managers position • Good understanding of SCADA / similar control systems • Thorough understanding of Maintenance Planning Systems • 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager position • Holders of Pr Eng or Pr Cert Eng would be an advantage • Engineering design and a strong background of “Strengths of Materials” as well “Hydraulic Engineering” (typically multistage pumping / slurry transmission lines).
