Plant Manager

Job Description : PLANT MANAGER IVORY COAST ( Maintenance / Mobile Fleet / Safety / Contract Mining / Expat ) Lead project maintenance department providing both a reactive and proactive service ensuring fleets are operational and in reliable conditions capable to deliver contractual availabilities and balancing quality with maintenance cost Responsibilities: · Ensure all maintenance personnel adheres to safety/environmental policies, procedures, and standards. · Constant motivation of a proactive culture towards safety. · Respect correct utilization of equipment and maintenance available resources on site. · Partner site Production manager and superintendent/supervisors to achieve reliability and equipment uptime targets. · Define maintenance management strategies per fleet ensuring alignment with company policies and expectations · Set up/review department objectives/KPI’s and review/assess ongoing performance · Develop high level understanding of the entire reliability program to allow collaboration of key reliability partners · Partner senior plant managers to ensure maintenance departments are applying the right systems, structure, processes and procedures to enable producing sustainable and predictable outputs · Conducts gap assessments primarily through periodic compliance audits to gauge effectiveness of maintenance and reliability work processes · Partner Staff and Development Responsible to provide training on new tools and processes upgrades · Partner with site’s Project Managers and Production Managers to set up quarterly/yearly strategies enabling maintenance departments to understand and be aligned with production requirements · Ensure that designated buildings and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required · Develop clear accountability for maintenance materiel spent and stock levels combined with a strategy to manage expenditure · Ensure to follow/guide and advance the company training plan and systems in place that allow the coaching and training for plant personnel, focus on planning and supervision, to enhance technical and managerial skills. · Partner staff and training coordinator for formal training requirements and skill’s level evolution. · Supervise condition monitoring of equipment and ensure preventive/predictive maintenance services are strictly followed · Control Equipment Life Renewal Projects in all aspects: Budget elaboration, scoping, long and short-term schedules, projects preparation and completion · Maintain a good relationship with the client, keeping him informed and providing all necessary elements via clear reporting · Ensure maintenance staff use efficiently company tools, GMAO and FAST, to enable targeted quality on job’s preparation and enhance conditions monitoring. · Produce monthly reports containing major highlights, performance indicators and cost control review. · Control internal and external maintenance suppliers and service providers ensuring their respect and compliance with company policy and project objectives Requirements: Qualification and Skill · Diploma or Degree qualified, within Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial · More than 10 years Maintenance experience on Mobile Plant / Fleets within the mining industry · More than 5 years within a management capacity · Proven experience within a contract mining environment · Proven experience with efficiency tools such as GMAO and FAST · Previous experience Africa Expatriate experience would be advantageous Benefits and Contractual information: · Globally competitive expat salary · Fly in, Fly out Rotation 9/3 · Opportunity to join the senior management team of a reputable mining contractor
