Operations Head

Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD SUDAN leading multinational specialized in logistics and port operations expending its activities in Africa. Reporting to the Country General Manager and the VP Operations at headquarter, the Head of Operations is responsible for the effective management and operations of the Special Economic Zone. Key responsibilities include: - Providing the vision, leadership and direction for the creation of this Special Economic Zone - Managing and operating the Port and Terminal in a manner that achieves levels of productivity and safety comparable with international operating standards, - Preserve existing client portfolio and actively develop new business opportunities, - Reviewing operating results of the organization monthly, and compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results, - Functioning harmoniously with all of the port users/clients, customs, security, and governmental agencies, - Ensuring safe working conditions and environment for staff, contractors and visitors. - Provide reports to the head-office. A minimum of 10 years' experience, a good part of it will have seen you intimately involved in port operations and logistics management. Ideally with a good knowledge of special economic zone processes and development needs, you will feel comfortable in managing business development and supply chain issues. Taking into account the local context, a personal or professional experience in an emerging market country will be useful for rapid integration.Excellent compensation and benefits.
