Chief Operating Officer

Job Description : COO UAE Chief Operating Officer who will be responsible for leading the functions of Finance, Operations, IT, Human Resources, Administration, Corporate Communication, Risk management, Internal Audit and Compliance to ensure they are coordinated and aligned to support the businesses Key Responsibilities · Formulates and plans the long-term objectives, resources and contributes to functions within the area of responsibility to support the plan and strategy of the Bank · The COO’s participates as a key member of the Management Committee and also provides leadership and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures and other regulatory agencies · Assists the CEO in the strategic planning and the subsequent fine tuning of the strategic plan and provides advice to ensure that the business grows. Must ensure that the corporate governance and risk management framework are incorporated in these strategies · Develops long-term plans to ensure objectives set out by the Board of Directors are achieved and that the strategies and policies of the Bank are in line with these goals and objectives and take into consideration the governance and risk management elements to these strategies and goals · As part of Senior Management accept responsibility for implementing the corporate governance framework and risk management and internal controls framework approved by the governing body and help to ensure that the implementation of the frameworks is in accordance with these rules Key Requirements · Bachelor’s Degree or MBA with other professional qualifications such as CPA/CIMA or their equivalents · Minimum 12 years business management experience, preferably gained within an international environment and at an executive level in banking or financial services · Strong background and experience in Risk & Compliance · Relevant experience in Planning & Analysis, Financial Management and Performance Management
