Engineering Head

Job Description : ENGINEER HEAD DUBAI a renowned and leading e-commerce firm across the MENA region. As part of a major expansion and transformation program, they are now looking for a Head of Engineering. As a Head of Engineering, your focus will be scaling their e-pharmacy and building a large, high-performing team of engineers. Other responsibilities will include: · Hiring, building and then managing and coaching a solid Tech team (at least 25 members) · Developing the overall tech strategy, planning, processes, roadmap, culture and execution of the entire Tech team · Playing a key role in the core leadership team · Managing development centres across different regions · Responsible for defining the roadmap, managing the Tech budget, solution conceptualisation, architecture and implementation of cross-platform product and technology · Facilitating critical business decisions, ensuring they align with the Tech roadmap and strategy · Defining and implementing organisational structure, KRAs, OKRS and other key metrics to build a culture that is fair and transparent · Fostering a working environment that is collaborative, organised and fast-paced The technology: · Python, Ruby, NodeJS, React · MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis · AWS Services · Microservices Architecture · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field · Proven experience in building large teams · Ideally start-up experience or experience in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment · Must have industry experience in healthcare e-commerce/ healthtech/ e-pharmacy · Excellent communication skills · Must be willing to relocate to Dubai
