Finance Controller

Job Description : FC ZAMBIA Company : Sarazi Logistics , Part Of TransCargo Group Location : Ndola, Zambia The FC as a member of the management team is accountable for the financial and financial risk management operations. The FC is also involved in the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, the ongoing development, monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company’s assets and report accurate financial results. · Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition · Hands on experience in Accounts Finalization, DR/CR reconciliations, BRS preparations, Budgeting and Cash Flow Statements. · Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities · Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances · Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements · Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting · Research technical accounting issues for compliance · Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting · Maintenance and documentation of accounting procedures & policies but not limited to only finance department. · Maintaining robust relationships with external auditors and banks & financial institutions · Negotiating with Banks, handling LCs, BGs and OD facilities. · Team Management including mentoring and staff development · Working closely with Executive Leadership team to deliver reports, analysis findings, potential risk areas and forecast opportunities
